This grotto (statue not included) is 24" tall and is formed with a space age plastic. The paints used to create the colors are UV protected against direct sunlight. While some fading may occur over many years, we have found this manufacturing process has stood up well since they were first introduced in 1993.
Athough serveral installation methods come with the statue, we at Kirner's recommend filling the figure with mortar mix and adding water (amounts and instructions are included with the statue). This process will give you the most stable and longest lasting installation for your statue.
